Yazida’s original home group was Nahrun Kabirun (Las Cruces, NM), but her first event was in AS XXVI
(1991) in Caer Mithin Halle (Carlsbad, NM). She moved to Caer Galen in AS XXX1 (January, 1997), and
has lived here ever since. She and her partner, Max, became the founders of the Barony of Caer Galen,
which had been a shire for twenty-four years previously. Yazida has also served as Caer Galen’s
Seneschal, and has been autocrat, co-autocrat, or support staff for many events over the years,
including Battlemoor III.
Yazida’s SCA-related hobbies include: calligraphy, illumination, costuming, research, crafting puppets &
marionettes, prop-making, and cooking. A partial list of Yazida’s not-necessarily-SCA-related hobbies
include: travel, SCUBA, reading, speculative fiction conventions, art, piano, TTRPGs, and collecting
oddities.
Yazida and Livia have been friends since Livia moved to Caer Galen fourteen years ago. If you’re
interested in hearing stories of some of our adventures together, please ask one of us. We’re happy to
ramble on about almost anything, including our plans for Caer Galen if we are chosen to be the next
Coronets.
Greetings! Mistress Yazida and Baroness Livia are running for future Baroness' of Caer Galen. They welcome and invite you to learn more about them. You will see them around the Barony at practice, socials and scribal nights. Feel free to stop by and ask them some questions or get to know them. The populace is the heart of the Barony and they wish to spread the joy, fun and experience to everyone.

Livia has been part of the Kingdom of the Outlands since 2010. She began in Caerthe, but moved Caer
Galen in 2011, and has lived here since. Her first passion in the SCA was archery, and she passes that
interest to others as Caer Galen’s current Captain of Archers. Livia has picked up many other interests,
like calligraphy, illumination, leather working, sword engraving, papier mâché, and thrown weapons.
She has held other Caer Galen offices, such as Chatelaine, Arts and Sciences Minister, and default Scribe.
Livia has been autocrat for many Caer Galen events, including Midwinter, Danse Macabre, and Enduro.
Livia's greatest joys are her two daughters.
When she isn't playing in The Outlands she loves to travel with her kids. Many of her adventures have
with her best friends, Mistress Yazida and Master Massimiliano.
They’ve explored the Catacombs in Paris, zip lined through the jungle in Belize, swum with
pigs in the Bahamas, climbed a waterfall in Jamaica, and jet skied in the Bermuda Triangle. She can't
wait to bring joy, laughter and happiness to the Barony of Caer Galen. She hopes you choose her and
Yazida as the next Baronesses of Caer Galen, making it the next great adventure.
